Who we publish with

The centre's investigators publish with researchers at universities, hospitals and research institutes nationally and internationally.

Data automatically extracted from public sources, not manually verified by the Centre investigators.

Publications from:

Where our co-authors are

Each circle is a city with institutions where the centre's investigators have co-authors. Larger circles mean more joint publications. Select a circle, or an institution in the tables below, to see the publications.

Countries

Collaborating institutions per country.

    Who we publish with

Institutions where the centre's investigators have co-authors, by kind. Each co-author counts once, at their main institution: the one they are listed at most often on these publications. Colleagues in the Simula Group, and the investigators' own other affiliations, are not counted.

    Kinds of institution

Number of collaborating institutions of each kind, with their co-authors. Research institutes include non-profit and government research organisations.

      Clinical collaborators

Hospitals and health trusts, by joint publications in the period: publications with at least one co-author whose main institution is the hospital. Select a row to see them.

      Institutions with most joint publications

The top 15 in the period. A publication counts once for each of its co-authors' main institutions, so the numbers overlap. Investigators lists up to four centre investigators on these publications. Select a row to see them.

      By research area

The departments and institutions where the centre's co-authors work, by research area, from the name of their department. An uncertain classification means that no department or institute was found, and the area comes from a faculty covering several areas, from the topics of the co-authors' research, or the institution is not known. Select a row to see the departments.

        How this was made

Co-authors and their institutions come from OpenAlex, looked up by DOI for the investigators' publications in NVA (Nasjonalt vitenarkiv). Publications without a DOI, mostly older ones, are not included. Each co-author is counted once, at their main institution: the one they are listed at most often on these publications in the period, as on the overview page. Colleagues whose main institution is in the Simula Group, and the investigators' own other affiliations on their papers (such as a professorship at a university), are not counted.

Research areas come from the name of each co-author's department, from the first of these that names one: their affiliation on the publications with the centre's investigators; their public ORCID record; their affiliation on their other recent publications; at research institutes and companies, the field of the institution; an institute, centre or laboratory; and, as an uncertain classification, a faculty covering several areas or the field of their research in OpenAlex. At hospitals, a department decides, and otherwise clinical medicine. Departments are counted per institution, and an institution taken as a whole (such as a company) counts as one. The area is that of the department a person belongs to, not always their research: a physicist working on the brain counts as physics. A few institutions and departments are set by hand where OpenAlex has none or the wrong one.
